This block is composed of an unbroken string of '''names'''.  Each name has a maximum length of six bytes, and is padded out with 0x0 values.  There are seven groups by which the names can be divided (though no actual division takes place within the table itself): one for each of the four [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Player_character Player Characters], as well as for the main character's pet, favorite food, and favorite thing.  The names, as in the ROM, are listed as follows with periods substituting for null values.

===Note on length of names===
The first four names are limited to ''five'' characters. The last character must be null. [[User:Mr. Accident]] has created a patch allowing these names to be six-characters long, but he has never had the time to complete it. The patch is useable as it is, but in many places where names are supposed to be displayed, an empty string is shown instead.
